Anglepoise Original 1227 table lamp grey
Original 1227 designer table lamp from Anglepoise® The Original 1227 table lamp was designed by the industrial designer George Carwardine, who originally worked in the automotive industry. The constant tension spring mechanism with three springs ensures that this versatile work light has a high degree of flexibility and makes it a model for spring balancer lights. But that is not all. Over time the light source, which can be varied in terms of its functionality and its appearance, has developed into a design icon that is even used as a furnishing accessory in films and in advertising. Due to its various adjustment options, the Original 1227 table lamp is destined for use as a light source on desks or workbenches. With an E27 socket, the light comes with an energy-efficient LED bulb. Please note: in order to guarantee the balance of the Original 1227 table lamp, you should ensure that the weight of the light bulb used is between 25 g and 60 g. With the Original 1227 table lamp, George Carwardine (1887-1948) created a design classic. He sold the licence for it to the company Terry & Sons, which had previously supplied the springs for his designs. In 1993, a descendent of the Terrys - Ray Terry - invested a lot of money in the development of the Original 1227 table lamp which was previously made for factory halls. Energy efficiency class:A+
