david trubridge Hinaki hanging lamp 50 cm black
Organic designed bamboo pendant lamp Hinaki - designed by David Trubridge The designer David Trubridge, who comes from England and now lives with his family in New Zealand, attaches great importance in his work to closeness to nature and sustainability of the materials used. The trained shipbuilder settled in New Zealand after a five-year voyage with a sailing yacht and processes the impressions he gained during this journey as well as the inspirations of his new home into imaginative designer pieces. His works are handmade in high quality. The pendant lamp Hinaki owes its net optics with the seemingly interwoven wooden elements to the fishing nets of the Maori, which gave David Trubridge the idea for this extravagant light throw. When the light is switched on, the net structure creates an effective play of light and shadow in the surroundings. When switched off, the luminaire is also a highlight for any interior. Hinaki is delivered in single parts which have to be assembled. Detailed assembly instructions are included in the delivery. Hinaki is packed extra flat to avoid the large volume of an assembled luminaire and to reduce emissions for transport. - Shade elements made from sustainably sourced bamboo veneer - each luminaire handcrafted Energy efficiency class:A++
