Designer glass table lamp 29 cm
Table lamp Futura with a Murano glass lampshade - made in Italy This table lamp is made in the world-renowned glass huts near Venice. It is characterised by a completely round shape and high-quality materials as well as the fact that it is made by hand. A special glass blowing technique allows the trained craftsmen to produce a closed lampshade that is made of a single piece, but is half glossy opal and half transparent. In the centre, at the transition from one colour to the other, a wide metal ring separates the two areas. The light source is located in the opal area of the lampshade, i.e. the light is gently diffused through glass that is translucent but not transparent so that it shines without glare. The Futura model was developed from a design by the Hangar Design Group, made for the renovation of the cafeteria of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. This “Peggy”-light was developed further and re-named Futura. Now, the once exclusive and limited prototype is available as a series product. - With handblown, multi-layered glass Energy efficiency class:A++
