Hanging lamp Futura with a Murano glass lampshade - made in Italy The inspiration for the design of this lamp series was the cafeteria of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, where new lighting was being installed. The Hangar Design Group was assigned the task of designing the lights, so have designed a light specially for this purpose. From the model “Peggy”, the model “Futura” was developed, which is new to the series but is still handmade. In regards to its shape, Futura is highly captivating due to its round form. The handblown glass is a focal point. The glass body looks as if it consists of two parts - glossy opal white at the bottom, clear at the top - due to the different colour schemes. But this is not the case; it is actually made of just one piece of glass. This is made possible by a special glass blowing technique. The colour division of the glass lampshade is emphasised by a metal ring placed in the middle. The Futura hanging lamp can be used in private living spaces, in public spaces and in the hospitality sector – as a solitaire or in a row or arranged in a group. - With handblown, multi-layered glass Energy efficiency class:A++
