Christian Dell (1893-1974), a German silversmith and designer who also worked as a workshop master at the metal workshop in the Bauhaus Weimar, designed with the lamp series Kaiser idell true cult objects in Bauhaus design, a design style that enjoys unbroken popularity. Today, this beautiful floor lamp is produced by the Danish company FRITZ HANSEN, whose origins date back to 1872, when the carpenter Fritz Hansen from Nakskov received a trading license for Copenhagen. He continued to expand his company and, thanks to the quality maxims he and his son Christian pursued, achieved a high reputation that brought him important orders in the first fifty years, such as the furnishing of the University Library, the Copenhagen City Hall and much more. In 1979, Skandinavisk Holding took over 75% of the shares in the company, which until then had been run purely by the family. Through innovation and expansion, FRITZ HANSEN became known beyond Denmark in the following decades. In 2015, the company acquires the Danish lighting company Lightyears, whose design philosophy reflects that of FRITZ HANSEN. Energy efficiency class:A++
