Satellite - timeless modern designer pendant luminaire by Mathieu Matégot This luminous accessory still looks modern today, although it was created in 1953. Its creator, the Hungarian-French designer, architect and artist Mathieu Matégot (1910 - 2001), developed the Rigitulle on the basis of perforated sheeting. This is a thin metal layer perforated in various patterns, which is flexible and can be formed into the desired shape. The oval body of the shade of the Satellite pendant luminaire is made of a cream-white ridge; the light of the light source used - ideally a rod lamp - is emitted gently into the room through the fine spaces between the materials. Above, a hood, painted black at the top and white at the bottom, reflects the light diffusely downwards. The Satellite pendant luminaire, manufactured in immaculate quality by the Danish manufacturer Gubi, is the ideal furnishing element for the private living area, as well as for representative public areas or, for example, above a restaurant table.
