Innolux Candeo therapy light hanging lamp black
Suspension lamp and light therapy in one: Candeo from Innolux The Finnish designer Katriina Nuutinen, in collaboration with the design luminaire manufacturer Innolux, has created a pendant luminaire that not only provides general lighting but can also be used for light therapy. Especially in the winter months, when there is little daylight in many places, such light therapy can prevent or alleviate seasonal depression. The aluminium shade of the Candeo pendant luminaire is finished at the bottom with an acrylic disc, so that the light can exit without glare. Inside the shade there are two light sources with different sockets. One is used for general lighting, the other for light therapy. The change between the two illuminants takes place via a small switch on the shade. Another practical function is the possibility of height adjustment on the cable directly. In order to benefit from the advantages of light therapy, one should stay in the immediate vicinity of the lamp for about one to two hours a day. The duration depends on the proximity to the light source and thus on the light intensity. It is not necessary to always turn your face directly towards the light source, but light should always fall on your eyes. This ensures that the light is absorbed via the receptors in the eye.
