Kalypso LED pedestal lamp made of stainless steel, powered by the sun The Kalypso LED pillar lamp is completely independent of the power grid as it is powered by sunlight. The panel on the top captures the light from the sun during the day and converts it into electricity, which then lights up the LEDs at night. The stepped reflector creates a pleasant light which is also quite stirking. The light also has a motion sensor installed, which reacts when people approach. This ensures sufficient light is available quickly at night for guidance. The range of the sensor is 6 metres, the lighting duration is 25 seconds and the detection angle 90 degrees.
