LE KLINT Arc designer hanging lamp handmade
Arc handmade LED hanging lamp from Le Klint Arc – which is an arch such as that found in vaults – is the name of the Danish designer hanging lamp, which the designers Nanna Neergaard and Marie Hesseldahl based on the Grundvigtskirche in Copenhagen. The architect of the church was P. V. Jensen-Klint, the father of Tage Klint, who founded the lighting company Le Klint in 1943. The two young designers Nanna Neergaard and Marie Hesseldahl, who founded Manér Studio together, designed the Arc lighting series for this traditional Danish company. Like many of the classic Le Klint lights, Arc consists of a white plastic film, which has been pleated. This pleating technique is what sets the company apart from others, and something which so-called pleating technicians are trained to do. Manér Studio has developed a modern light that incorporates the traditional handicraft, but also expands on it at the same time. The narrow black-sign frame is added here as a stylistic element. Le Klint is a Danish lighting manufacturer, which has been the court supplier to the Queen of Denmark since 2003. The company's pleated lampshades are now known all over the world.
