Sandy LED designer pendant light Carronade When designing the Carronade light series, the Danish furniture and product designer Markus Johansson took his inspiration – as the name of the series suggests – from small cannons as were used on ships in the 18th century. The combination of matt and sand-coloured steel, soap-washed oak wood and brass locking screws gives the lamp a unique Nordic charm. The lamp shows its functionality by means of the rotating lampshade in the bracket, which can be locked at any angle, which means that the pendant light can not only light up a surface underneath it, such as a table or a counter, but also furnishings. The light was produced in house at the Danish company Le Klint. Founded in 1943 and headquartered in Odense, on the island of Funen, the company has made a name for itself thanks to its handmade lampshades produced using a special pleating technique, which are still popular products today. Many light creations from several different renowned designers have been added over the years, so that today Le Klint’s range includes more than lamps with handmade pleated lampshades, but also creations with lampshades made of other materials.
