LE KLINT Donut designer pendant light 53 cm
Donut designer LED pendant light with a pleated lampshade The Donut pendant light is what the name suggests. The light’s handmade lampshade, made of plastic, is reminiscent of a doughnut. The fact that only LEDs or CFLs can be used with this pendant light suggests in itself that its lampshade is particularly sensitive and should be treated with care. This is the only way to maintain the quality and the filigree pleating technique and to provide joy for years to come. Lise Navne has developed this model for the traditional Danish designer lighting manufacturer, and has taken ideas on board from one of its best known classics, the so-called "fruit lamp" by Kaare Klint. In the process, she developed the so-called cross-pleats, and pushed them to the limit, meaning that such a round and well-formed light could be made of pleats. Le Klint is a Danish light manufacturer, which is not only a supplier of the Danish queen, but also has a remarkable history which is full of tradition. Le Klint's pleated lampshades are now known all over the world. It all began at the beginning of the 20th century, when the architect P. V. Jensen-Klint built a lampshade for a paraffin lamp. This lampshade was the beginning of the family business, which was founded in 1943 by his son Tage Klint. Energy efficiency class:A++
