Pliverre – a designer pendant light with LED lighting The Danish manufacturer LE KLINT has always been known for its pleated lampshades, made of paper and plastic. Christian Troels is a young designer who takes this principle to a new level, and has designed the Pliverre family of lights made of pleated glass. The name Pliverre comes from French and means "pleated glass". The 3-bulb LED pendant light Pliverre uses opal glass, which is exactly the LE KLINT style. This is because the light is distorted through the matt glass and yet is fully functional. The 45° angle which the lampshades are cut at makes it possible to light up a wider area and looks very elegant. The characteristic feature of this pendant light is the black steel frame that connects the three light heads. The black textile cable and brass details add some visual highlights to the light, which should be a chandelier as per the designer’s original intention. The combination of design and colours looks exciting, harmonious and puristic.
