Swirl 3 – a rotating designer pendant light in white The handmade Swirl 3 designer pendant light is an idea from the Danish industrial designer Øivind Slaatto, whose lighting creations are mostly inspired by nature. If you look at the hanging light more closely you will be reminded of a swirl, as the name suggests, or a snail’s house. The rotating lampshade made of plastic elements means that in addition to its unique appearance, the way it is produced means a very special light with interesting effects is created when the light passes through the gaps between the layers. The designer pendant light was manufactured at the Le Klint factory in Denmark, a lighting manufacturer that has a long tradition and is known for its hand-made lampshades produced using a unique pleating technique. In 1943, the lighting company was founded in Copenhagen. As well as new lighting series, creations from the early years of the company are also still produced to this day, which are still very popular and still among the company’s best-selling lights.
