The new Mendip Ashcott Pedestal Defra stove is easy to use and very efficient (over 80%). Designed with efficiency in mind this 4.7kW stove burns cleanly to create as much energy as possible from your fuel, the Ashcott has been listed as Ecodesign Ready for 2022, the Ashcott emits less CO, NOx and CO2 than older wood stoves and over 80% less than an open fire. The contemporary Ashcott stove is perfect for modern homes with its single legged pedestal stand, matching milled, stainless steel hinges and door handle, as well as a magnetic door mechanism for easier closing, you will want to use this stove every day. It is suitable to sit on a 12mm glass hearth and thanks to the top convection panel it can heat up any room more quickly than a traditionally designed stove. The Ashcott features all the usual refinements you expect from a Mendip stove: Large ceramic glass window with preheated airwash system to keep it clean and clear, Solid construction from steel with a cast iron door, Large firebox and maximum log length of 300mm, Three-way air controls for maximum combustion, closed combustion kit and Defra approval for burning wood in Smoke Control Areas.
