The Mendip Woodland multi fuel stove won "Best under 5kW Stove" at the 2016 Hearth & Home awards. This new 5.0kW version of the popular Woodland Defra stove is easy to use and even more efficient (81.1%). Designed with the Woodland Trust in mind this stove burns cleanly to create as much energy as possible from your fuel The contemporary Woodland stove is perfect for modern homes, it is suitable to sit on a 12mm glass hearth and has a miniscule distance to combustibles of only 100mm (rear) and 250mm (sides)and can heat up any room much more quickly than a traditionally designed stove. The Woodland features all the usual refinements we expect from a Mendip stove: Large ceramic glass window with preheated airwash system to keep it clean and clear, Solid construction from steel with a cast iron door, Large firebox and maximum log length of 300mm, Three way air controls for maximum combustion, Optional closed combustion kit and Defra approval for burning wood in Smoke Control Areas. Mendip also donate £10 to the Woodland Trust for every stove sold, to continue their work to protect our ancient woods, restore those which have become damaged and to create new native woodlands.
