The lampholder is well protected against corrosion because it is made of anodised aluminium. This means that a chemical reaction is used to transform the metal surface so that a thin oxide layer is formed, which provides this protection. The founders of Norm Architects draw their artistic inspiration primarily from the field of residential architecture. The concept of the Bank series was born when the two Danish designers Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn travelled to Manhattan, where they noticed a vintage lamp in the middle of the big city flair. In their creations, they focus above all on creating a visual balance between architecture and design.
