Northern Dokka pendant light brass
Design classic Dokka: famous Norwegian pendant lamp by Birger Dahl Dokka pendant lamp was designed by Norwegian designer Birger Dahl in 1954 and became the best-selling pendant lamp from Norway. When the manufacturer at the time ceased production, Dokka disappeared from the scene for the time being. In 2007, the Norwegian lighting and furniture manufacturer Northern relaunched the classic pendant lamp. In doing so, it was important to those responsible to preserve precisely the characteristics that had made the lamp so famous. Dokka's shade is made entirely of brass with a matte surface. No frills or unnecessary details were deliberately omitted. The shade with its downward flared shape stands for purism and Scandinavian elegance. Not for nothing was Dokka the first lamp from Norway, which was awarded the Golden Medal at the Triennale di Milano at the time.
