Slamp Nuvem hanging light expandable gold
Imposing designer pendant lamp Nuvem - infinitely variable and expandable The pendant lamp Nuvem consists of a composable system of connectors and folds, with which modules can be assembled infinitely. Designer Miguel Arruda described his design by saying, "We didn't make a light fixture, we made a ceiling." The single module is about 1m² and designed like a honeycomb to be able to connect an infinite number of copies to each other and form variable landscapes and float in space. The plug-in system also allows an infinite number of different shapes to be formed and varied. The basic module is supplied with an up and down spotlight and can be extended with other modules and luminaires. The Nuvem can be used in private living spaces as well as in public environments such as foyers of hotels and restaurants or exhibition spaces of galleries and museums, acting as a decorative light source with a luxurious flair. Miguel Arruda is an internationally recognized sculptor, architect, designer and educator. He taught at the Universidade de Lisboa for more than two decades and has been a guest lecturer for a wide variety of courses on great figures such as Le Corbusier. The system for his extraordinary pendant lamp comes from one of his sculptures of 1980 and has been reinterpreted by Slamp. Since its founding in 1992, the Italian lighting manufacturer Slamp has established itself in the market as a producer of high-quality designer lighting. The company, founded by Roberto Ziliani, builds on the cooperation with internationally recognized designers and uses a know-how from over 25 years of experience in development and research in the production of its lights.
