The perfect lighting in Bauhaus style - Marianne Brandt's ceiling lamp made of glass and metal Marianne Brandt is one of the most famous designers of the Bauhaus and created the design of this ceiling lamp already in 1926. The combination of opal glass, satinised glass and nickel-plated metal forms a unique luminaire that is not only functional in the sense of the Bauhaus vision, but also provides excellent lighting in the living room. Round shapes characterise this luminaire. From the round ceiling canopy, the supply cable leads to the round glass shade made of opal glass, which encloses the E27 socket. In addition, this shade is surrounded by a metal ring at the upper end, which is connected to three nickel-plated metal rods. These are held by small hooks on the ceiling. A frosted glass plate with a much larger diameter than the glass cylinder hides the view of the lamp and allows for glare-free light diffusion. The glass plate is also held by the metal rods. TECNOLUMEN is a luminaire manufacturer with production facilities in Germany, which focuses on originals from the Bauhaus period and on contemporary luminaires that follow this design principle.
