TECNOLUMEN WA 24 Wagenfield Silver Limited Edition
Limited special edition of the original WA 24 table lamp by Wilhelm Wagenfeld To mark the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus, the lighting manufacturer TECNOLUMEN is launching a special edition of Wilhelm Wagenfeld's classic: the WA 24 table lamp with 90 silverplate. In this limited edition, all the metal parts that are standardly electroplated with nickel are also electroplated with silver and have a 90 silverplate. The spherical glass lampshade is overlaid with opal, as usual. The Wagenfeld table lamp from the manufacturer TECNOLUMEN is the only re-edition of the original that is protected by copyright and authorised by Professor Wagenfeld. Each light is numbered sequentially and bears the TECNOLUMEN authenticity signal. The limited edition also bears the inscription "Edition 100 Years of the Bauhaus". Wilhelm Wagenfeld created this model in the early 1920s, when he was still a journeyman at the Bauhaus in Weimar. The drafts were created for a task assigned by his teacher László Moholy-Nagy. Today, the Wagenfeld table lamp is one of the most well-known Bauhaus products and epitomises the principle of "Form follows function" as no other lamp: reduced to the essentials, functional, simple, yet elegant.
