Table lamp I Ricchi Poveri Bzzzz red dragonfly
I Ricchi Poveri Bzzzz - minimalist designer table lamp with a dragonfly figure I Ricchi Poveri Bzzzz - an unusual name for an unusual light. A key hallmark of Ingo Maurer’s lights is the presence of the traditional light bulb, which he repeatedly deliberately places in the centre due to his special relationship with it. I Ricchi Poveri Bzzzz presents a traditional light bulb produced specially for this light, which sits enthroned on a thin brass rod. Attached to a delicate wire, a coloured dragonfly made of anodised aluminium hovers over the traditional light bulb and appears to want to land on it in the next moment. A refinement of the kind which can only originate from Ingo Maurer. Dragonflies are often equated with fairy-like creatures and are generally associated with lightness, dynamism and flexibility. Nothing can interfere with what is in Maurer’s eyes the unique beauty of this traditional light bulb - not even a socket. A red wire has been soldered on at the bottom of the lamp base, where the light bulb actually meets the socket. This wire, which winds loosely around the brass wire twice, leads downwards to the steel base plate, where it is supplied with power via a contact jack and thus makes the traditional light bulb light up. A truly fascinating trick by Ingo Maurer, who has already received several awards for his unparalleled lighting designs. I Ricchi Poveri is equipped with an electronic transformer including a slide control and is delivered with two special light bulbs which have been produced exclusively for Ingo Maurer GmbH and can only be used in the models of the I Ricchi Poveri series. The light bulbs are an exception according to EU Regulation 244/2009 (as at 09/2015). Energy efficiency class:C
