VERPAN VP Globe Coloured Glass hanging light
Verner Pantons VP Globe - with "coloured glass" as diffuser The spherical pendant luminaires of the VP Globe series are all based on a similar principle. The outer shell forms a transparent acrylic sphere, the interior consists not only of a light source but also of a complicated system of reflectors. In the VP Globe Coloured Glass model, the five reflectors or diffusers are made partly of aluminium - painted orange and blue - and partly of smoky grey glass. In this way, the light is emitted both towards the sides and is gently diminished downwards. This pendant luminaire is therefore also perfect for use over a dining table. Verner Panton, the designer of the VP Globe, was a Danish architect and designer who, especially in the 1960s and 1970s, designed many pieces of furniture and lamps that are now among the world's most famous classics. Plastic as a material and strong colours have inspired him in his work. His designs have been produced again for several years by the Danish company VERPAN. Each of the lamps has a certificate of authenticity and is engraved with Verner Panton's name. Energy efficiency class:A++
