VERPAN VP Globe pendant light brass
Danish designer pendant luminaire VP Globe by VERPAN Verner Panton, the designer of this model, designed a series of lamps in the 1960s and 1970s consisting of a series of spherical pendant lamps. These all look relatively similar, but differ in the underlying system of reflectors. Inside the transparent plastic sphere, the VP Globe has aluminium reflectors in brass, orange and blue that direct the light - in such a way that it escapes mainly to the sides and does not emit any directed light upwards or downwards. The VP Globe pendant luminaire is therefore best suited as a room light source. The Danish architect and designer Verner Panton (1926-1998) achieved worldwide fame and recognition mainly through his furniture, e.g. the Panton Chair from the 1960s, and his lamps. As you can see from the Panton Chair, strong, expressive colours and the material plastic were among his great inspirations. His designs are now produced again by the Danish company VERPAN. Each lamp is engraved with his name and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Energy efficiency class:A++
